The truck was swerving and speeding in the turning lane past other vehicles. Walker said the truck’s occupants also threw objects tps out of the windows “having total disregard for the public safety of others on the road.”
The passengers — a 19-year-old man, 18-year-old woman and a juvenile — were all detained and given citations for being minors in possession of alcohol and minor consumption of alcohol. Police have not identified them.
Original item at 8 a.m.: A Plano West High School football player who was one of the most sought-after college recruits nationwide was arrested early Sunday on a charge of fleeing police in a vehicle, records show.
Jamabo, 19, was held on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle. He was also given written warnings for minor consumption of alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol, speeding, driving without a license and disregarding a stop sign.
“We are obviously concerned about these reports and are currently gathering more information,” Rupprecht said. “As this is a continuing process, we will withhold further comment until the appropriate time.”
Jamabo may have been at Plano West’s senior prom earlier in the night. A photo uploaded to Twitter around 6 p.m. Saturday shows Jamabo in a suit posing with a date who’s wearing a long gown. She wrote it was “prom.” Jamabo retweeted the photo.

The five-star recruit made national news during his recruiting process, when a joke he told on WFAA-TV (Channel 8) — saying his college choice had narrowed to University of Phoenix and ITT Tech went viral. He picked UCLA over a host of other offers, including Notre Dame, Texas and Texas A&M.
