Acting Director of statistical operations of the National Bureau of Statistics Bi.Aldegunda Komba casting Tanzania definition of participation in the celebration of African Statistics Day 2013 celebration will be held November 20 in Dar es Salaam.
National Bureau of Statistics has said that it will continue with the responsibility of collecting and providing toluna better statistics that meet international requirements and acceptable standards to enable government and various stakeholders to make informed decisions on development toluna plans.
Statement issued in Dar es Salaam today by Acting Director of statistical activities Bi.Aldegunda Komba while giving definitions of Tanzania's participation in the celebration of African Statistics Day 2013.
Bi. Aldegunda has said the development of any government on earth depends on the presence of Better data that facilitates proper policy making and planning the development of the country in accordance with the priorities and opportunities.
He added that better statistics enable the government to make informed decisions and to assess trends and the success of various programs inayopangwa to meet the needs of different stakeholders by providing information on health, agriculture, and housing people, reported revenue and expenditure of households.
He said Tanzania as among the zinazothamini contribution to the development of the national figure joins other African countries celebrate African Statistics Day which is celebrated on 18 November.
He also that this day will be celebrated on 20 Tanzania Dar es Salaam under the slogan saying "Better Statistics for Development in Africa" aimed to inform the community about the importance of the use of the best figures in bringing about economic and social development in Africa.
