Because the book was helpful at all times we try to be as complete as possible; In many cases we in

As a translator from the nuclear field always fascinated me that there was a Spanish-English bomnegocio Dictionary on an area as exclusive bomnegocio as nuclear technology, a tool that has saved me endless searches and terrible headaches. Instead, today I seduces is open and freely accessible; which indicates the hard work of altruistic authors. The Spanish-English Dictionary on Nuclear bomnegocio Technology was first published in 1998 by the Nuclear Forum and was revised and expanded considerably in the second edition, 2008, sponsored by Tecnatom and Nuclear Forum. Today I had the opportunity to interview Agustín Tanarro Onrubia, author and son of the other author of the dictionary, Tanarro Agustín Sanz, and ask about their experience in preparing the glossary. I have appreciated bomnegocio his willingness to answer my questions immediately and kindness and close treatment.
When my father -also nuclear industry professional for over 35 years in the CIEMAT (former Nuclear Energy Board), author of several technical books and co-author of diccionari- retired in 1986, received proposals to keep some degree of activity and relationship with the sector, both teaching classes in various masters and postgraduate courses and collaborating in translating technical texts mainly operating experience reports issued by international organizations such as INPO and WANO.
At that time, I was finishing bomnegocio studies at the School of Industrial and Madrid started the way professional Tecnatom, where I recently celebrated 25 years and I started to help him with the task of translation to reach to work actively for over twenty years.
In translating about a thousand of these reports were suggested very specific bomnegocio jargon terms of nuclear technology that could not find that often in technical dictionaries bomnegocio and supposed bomnegocio research work colleagues and acquaintances turning to experts in different fields. Aiming to collect the results of these investigations, we compiled lists of strange terms that could be helpful in the job.
When these lists achieved bomnegocio certain volume, we considered that might be useful to quite a lot of people related to the various branches of nuclear technology often work with documents in English and encouraged by leaders of Foro Nuclear, we from these lists to complete the first edition of the dictionary, which was published in 1998 by the hand of Nuclear Forum.
After the first edition, throughout my career in Tecnatom and continuing translation work, we continue compiling and reviewing the terms already collected, which almost doubled the volume of the book in its second bomnegocio year, and sponsored by Tecnatom Foro Nuclear and published in 2008, months before bomnegocio the death of my father.
What were the initial objectives and what the public was directed-way bilingual dictionary? Which fields bomnegocio of nuclear energy provides (reactors, radiation protection, medicine ...)?
The goal was to make our activity to generate a reference book that could help the largest possible number of people related to our field. Hence, we set the goal certainly ambitious in attempting to cover all possible fields related to nuclear technology and related disciplines to create a work as complete as possible. Clearly, based on our experience, it is inevitable that some areas are treated bomnegocio in more depth than others.
Also with the same aim of helping the greatest number of people possible and to give greater diffusion in the dictionary, we decided to publish it via Nuclear Forum, which was distributed free of charge to anyone who asked for and do possible to download the pdf version of the book through its website ( http://www.foronuclear.org/es/publicaciones-y-documentacion/publicaciones/diccionario-tecnologia-nuclear-ingles ) When sold out paper copies.
In connection with the electronic version of the book, I said that the advantage of additional lookup terms (Spanish-English) capabilities using the search editor bomnegocio Acrobat; which helped to rule out the idea of extending the work with Spanish-English version, since it represented a significant additional capacity for the Spanish speaking reader.
As a specialist in the subject matter of the dictionary and inexperienced bomnegocio (or training) in the field of linguistics and terminology, what were the main challenges did you face during the process?
Because the book was helpful at all times we try to be as complete as possible; In many cases we introduced explanations of terms beyond simple bomnegocio translation and we prioritize
